Description
Introduction:
A doorbell is a common device in every home. Traditionally, guests press a doorbell switch to notify residents of their arrival. However, some visitors may struggle to find the doorbell, while others, such as children, might not reach it. Consequently, an automatic solution is useful. The doorbell detects a person’s presence and rings automatically.
Here we are making an object-sensing-based “Touch Less Doorbell”
This system uses an infrared transceiver pair and basic components to sense objects and activate the bell when someone stands at the door. It creates an object-sensing, contactless alternative for ringing doorbells, enhancing both convenience and hygiene. Furthermore, the design employs an LM358 IC, an IR receiver and transmitter, and a 10k preset. By leveraging infrared detection, users can ring the bell with a simple hand gesture.
Aim:
This project aims to create a touchless doorbell system that allows users to activate the bell with hand gestures and without physical contact. By doing so, it promotes cleanliness, especially in places where multiple people use the same doorbell.
Principle:
The touchless doorbell works on infrared sensing. The IR transmitter emits light, which the receiver detects. When a hand interrupts the infrared beam, the circuit recognizes the gesture and rings the bell.
